These alumni are selected based on professional accomplishments in their field; service and contributions to their department, college, and university; philanthropic activities; and enhancement of alumni and community engagement at Mason. The Park, among the best nightclubs in Washington, D.C., with its amazing food and drinks (available for purchase), will make for an exciting Mason event on an exclusive floor. Contact the Black Alumni Chapter. 5:30 - 8 p.m. | Potomac Science Center Opening Alumni Reception | Potomac Science Center (Woodbridge, VA) Cost: Early Bird: $25; Day-of: $30 Join the College of Science for an exclusive Mason Alumni opening reception of the Potomac Science Center. This new facility will be primarily occupied by the departments of Environmental Science and Policy, and Geography and Geoinformation Science. The Potomac Science Center will host 8 state of the art research lab suites to be occupied by professors from Environmental Science and Policy, Chemistry, and Atmosphere, Oceanic, and Earth Sciences, as well as an enhanced geospatial intelligence center. In addition to scientific research, the facility is equipped with teaching labs and space for environmental science K-12 programs and public outreach through the Potomac Environmental Research and Education Center (PEREC). Tour the new facility, hear from leading researchers in a variety of scientific fields, and enjoy an evening with fellow Mason alumni. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. One of the most talked-about events of the year, the Farm to Table Dinner highlights Virginia's harvest and local farmers while giving Mason alumni a chance to mingle, connect, and celebrate!
